...your user name?

Lots of you have interesting user names. So, what do they mean?

I will go 1st:
got sheep - is pretty obvious , because most of you know from my posts, that I actually do have sheep. Very Happy
It also is a take off of the milk commercials - got Milk?, and don't forget the milk. My by line at the bottom is - don't forget the sheep - instead.

Also, I thought it was appropriate for a sheepdog forum name.

Next........
Mine is "Ron" because I always wanted to be a "Joe" but my mother made a mistake.
Mine is Daisymog after my georgeous sheepie, Daisy and the Mog bit is from our cat who we lost 5 years ago. Password type questions are often: 'name of favourite pet' and we could never pick one over the other so it had to be Daisymog!
Drezzie's Mom is because, obviously, I am Drezzie's Mom! Some people have changed their names when they loose the sheepie they're named "Mom" for, but I don't think I will. Because no matter how many additional sheepies come into my life, I will forever be - Drezzie's Mom.
I first signed on with Merlin'smom but then didn't post for a while and I forgot my sign in password Embarassed
Then I picked WizardMerlin after my dog Merlin but frankly I hate it now and I am looking to change it....
Any one got any suggestions?

I love saying Joahaeyo, so ...I chose it. Smile
How is it pronounced?
jo-ah-aye-o (said chopping and fast, it obviously doesn't sound as pretty, but said soft and slow like intended.. it's nice Embarassed )
I'm glad you enjoy saying it, but I'm still not sure how it sounds. And what does it represent? Is a form of first and last name?

"sheepieboss" at least that's what the K-9 kids let me believe
Paula O. because my first name is Paula and my last name is Olson!!!

I've always wanted to knows about Joahaeyo. I still can't figure out how to pronounce it!
joahaeyo is the formal way of saying I love, I like in hangul(korean).
joah is the simple way
I was Deborah Cramer during my first marriage, and until Tony and I got married.

So...my email became debcram which just sorta stuck. A lot of my old time friends still call me "Cramer!"
Jo...that is sweet.

Daisy was not available, so I did Daisie...my favorite flowers, it was what my brisdemaid carried...a HUGE boquet of them.

Not my name, nor the name of the dog...LOL
Gigi is my middle name. I try not to use my first name on the internet because it gives people a wrong impression about me and may draw a lot of unneccessary attention. My first name does not sound like a normal people's name but more like an username. It is a popular alcohol. I don't drink, I always say I can't live up to my own name Laughing

To this day, I still can't figure out why my parents gave me such a weird name Rolling Eyes when my older sister's name is a normal pretty girly name.

Wonder what my real name is? I go well with Olive, somtimes I am dirty Shocked and sometimes I like to be on the rocks... Wink

gigi
Ah....I want to say something clever, but can't come up with anything!

Sometimes are you stirred and not shaken?
BINGO!!! Very Happy Deborah! Wink
Are you the barkeep in "It's a Wonderful Life"?
ummmmmmmmmm...........guess Rolling Eyes
The bartender was Nick.........Martini??
ravenmoonart .com is my website...habit Rolling Eyes I now wish I had gone with something shorter! For a long time, my business name was "Raven Moon Original Prints" but since I do a lot of collage work now, along with printmaking, (as well as painted x-mas ornaments and needle felting) I decided I needed to change it to something more general...so now its just "Raven Moon Studios" Smile

I love the fact that Marianne calls me "Raven", by the way...it is, in fact one of my nick-names! Very Happy
Mine is easy and makes sense if you've watched South Park.

Quote:
Leopold "Butters" Stotch (voiced by Matt Stone) is a fictional character in the animated television series South Park; his nickname is a play on the word butterscotch. His birthday is September 11. Having a birthday that is the same day as a national tragedy (The 9/11 Attacks) is just one of the many misfortunes Butters has suffered. Butters speaks with a distinctive stuttering Southern accent.

When we gave Clyde a "voice" as a puppy, it was always the Butters voice because he seemed to sweet and simple. Clyde, like Butters, was also born on September 11th. He has also suffered many misfortunes. Okay, well not many but Bear did bite him in the stomach and he had to have surgery. That was unfortunate. Evil or Very Mad

I don't know. It feels like it should have a more Hispanic feel or something. Like Dar-cee-a. It's not a name people are used to seeing. Where'd your mom come up with it anyway?
Who knows.....but yes, my mom was the one to name me, my dad named lisa....she gets mad because she doesnt have a nickname, i get mad because my name is never pronounced correctly...so the bottom line is.....youre truely never happy with what you have.....

althou i do like my name .... just pronounced correctly! Very Happy

I like your name a lot too. You are so right that we are truely never happy with what we have. I hate my name (as all of you have already figured it out apparently) when I was a kid. I was always being teased because of the name. Even the teacher teased me. When I did something wrong, e.g. open to the wrong page of the book, the teacher would teased me and said "What's wrong with you, Martini? Are you drunk?" The whole class would burst into laughter and I would just wanted to crawl into a hole Embarassed

But I have learned to love my name. It is different and I like the look of the girls in the Starsbuck, having a pen in their hand ready to write my name on the cup when I told them my name. They always look up and look puzzle for a moment. I always have to reassure them they heard it right, it wasn't a hang-over. Wink

Perhaps I should change my user name to Cocktail... Let Me Think About That

Gigi the Cocktail
Zahra is my Middle Eastern Dancer name. Very Happy
Hips don't Lie is my weight loss motto.

This is what keeps me shimmying along in life...
fear of the cardiologist. Shocked
Gigi, thanks for making me laugh. Very Happy You poor thing Sad Some teachers are cruel. I won't tell you my full maiden last name as I've recently become paranoid about the internet. However, is does have "Pest" in it. The last name of the kid who always sat in front of me in grade school was "Orkin". I was cool in jr high and he wasn't. Needless to say, all the jokes were embarrassing. We also had a mean gym teacher who called me Pesty. So evil Evil or Very Mad

I suppose I could change my user name to "The Pest" Rolling Eyes

Busted, so you were ALWAYS planning ahead huh? I didn't remember you having so many until recently.

My user name is obvious, Las Vegas, I live there and Sheepie Lover Rolling Eyes Duh.

But enjoying the stories and funnies. I like the name Martini by the way. If you knew my name you wouldn't feel so bad.
My real name is Robin. As I child I was nicknamed Robin Bird. Then that went on to Binny Bird. Kinda like a crazy bird. When I was signing up for email years back Binny Bird and variations of that were taken hence the crustybirds name.

Here I was wrong. For some reason whenever I saw your name I thought you had something to do with computers. Very Happy
Mine is sooooo original!!!!!
When I first came here, I wasn't new to the web but, I was new to forums. I just signed up to ask a few questions.
I had no idea I was joining such a wonderful community.
Maybe I should change it to MojoMom.
I have always loved the nickname 'mop' for a sheepie, and before I got Bingley I had my girl's name all picked out: Mopsey Little Mara. Hmmm . . .I'm holding onto it incase the future holds a sister for Bingley Cool

Needless to say, I got a BOY and that went out the window! Laughing

It was funny that after I joined the forum my first sheepie foster was named Mopsey - and she was a dear!!! hearts
good name choices!!
I used to be killerprncss...which is an email address I have.

Then I had Ron change it to Amanda P....my name being Amanda and my last name starting with a P.

My sister is also a member and registered as Melissa P. We are twins so usually end up mirroring eachother Rolling Eyes Laughing
My name came from the nickname we had for my parents dog casey. My hot mail address has the name in it too. That way I wouldn't forget.

Funny, when I saw his screen name I asked if he was a scuba diver - deep diving on shipwrecks is called tech (technical) diving.

Mine is obvious - Bailey is my first, and will probably be my only, dog. And I've never had children of my own. So he's the only one I'm Mom to!
Well Pepsi's Mommy is pretty obvious. Wink
Since he was my only Sheepdog, I chose that.
Then Miss Rags came in to the picture a year later, but by then everyone already knew me by Pepsi's Mommy.
I fall in that too obvious to live category. Nothing trumps a hearts Sheepie. hearts
My first last name is Maxwell and my nickname is Max. My first name starts with M and my middle name starts with M. Put them all together and you get Maxmm which sounds like maximum. I actually tried to get the name Max when I came here but it was already taken. D'oh!

As for first names, I'm still not sure if I totally like mine or not. It's hard to go through life named after a Barry Manilow song!
I am just boring, lisa and I have oes. Rolling Eyes

Yeah, but that's a great Barry Manilow song!!

It's worse being a Debbie...
Anyone want to trade first names? Mine is Wynette. Apparently it can be pronounced "Win net" "One Net" "Y Net" "Y Not" "Win" "Winona" but the best one is "Tammy". Evil or Very Mad What's worse is that at my age I give up and just answer to any of the above. Rolling Eyes

Well, I get "Delta Dawn" sung at me! Shocked

I love these answers. Some I would never have figured out.
Sheeps over aces I always mis-read as "acres". Must be the farmer in me. Embarassed
abuckie= Aunt Buckie

Long story- most of mine are it seems Embarassed

When my nephew Damon was a baby- I used to sing a bedtime song to him "Go to sleep my little Buckaroo" - well - he is a kid that associates - and when he started talking- I became "Buckaroo"- over the years shortened to "Buckie" - and now Aunt Buckie to all my neices and nephews. Not even sure if all of them know my real name... the rest of the family- brothers and sisters and Mom and Dad and hubbie have tagged on- and after all of these years I am "Buckie"- very feminine huh?
Wouldn't change it for the world because sweet little Damon who is now 18 started the whole thing!! All of my log in's and usernames are Abuckie...... told you it was long.... Shocked

got sheep wrote:

Glad to see I am not the only one who couldn't read I'm outta here! I always thought the same thing...even AFTER I read this thread Rolling Eyes
Laurel, you cracked me up. Laughing Laughing

My username is obvious as well, but I needed something I could remember!

My name is Laurie, and I have a sister who is 10 1/2 months older than me (Irish twins Shocked ) named Lisa. Everyone used to call me by my sister's name (something tells me Amanda and Darcia can relate!), so my dad got me a t-shirt with the oh-so-popular lyrics of that Seventies hit, "My name's not Lisa....."
Bestdogsx4= the best four dogs ever Smile . Of course I only have three now but who knows how many puppies are in my future Wink
Max I had a thought - you could always use the handle M and M..would be pretty sweet! Rolling Eyes

Butterstotch..I hadn't realized you were named after one of the characters on the show as I've rarely watched it. Merlin's breeder is a fan and originally Merlin had the name Cartman. Oh sheesh if we ever get Clyde and Merlin together would be fun. I sometimes think I should change his name back to his original one as suits him better.

I chose to use my first name as in "real life" I have a series of names depending on where people know me from. Nah not Americas Most Wanted but my magic personas and characters, stage name, clown name, ect.. Over the years I got used to people to being called anything other than my first name. I most often get called by my nic name "Happy".

Marianne (All day all night Marianne, down by the seashore sifting sand, all the little children love Marianne)... named after that song which my dad loved. It's also the national symbol of woman in France and all coins use to have the Marianne figure on them. Drat since the Euro I can't brag I'm on French coins. Rolling Eyes
OES (obviously) and Gwynedd is my kennel name.

15 years (?+) ago now Norm and I took off when he left the USMC with backpacks and eurail passes in hand for 10 weeks. We fell in love with Northern Wales...... it was hard to make a decision between the Cotswolds and N. Wales for us as to which is our favorite! We fell in love with the stories of the 7 princes of Gwynedd...........

Ali
I have 4 dogs, a sheppy, a sheepie and two labbies Very Happy and was a big fan of four dog night back in the 70's so I just combined the two. I did not think I would get addicted to the sight or make so many friends. I also use 4dognight on my GSD and Lab forums. To complicated to remember different names.

I did the same thing and had to read the post a few times...and I'm definitely not a farmer Very Happy
I use the name from my first sheepie I had a lot of years ago, old kisla KC name shylass of shinn, a beauty spot in Scottish highlands.
I dream of sheepies .... Smile

I eat, breathe, and sleep sheepdog from a culmination of my profession and loving the breed since childhood.....

Also love the word dream.....
By the time I got on the internet all the good names were taken. Since I like to talk, and don't mind speaking up, one of my sister's gave me the "mouthy" part of the name. Shocked So I just added my initials at the end. Rolling Eyes
Cool I was not very creative. I was registering for an OES site so I just used my sweet sheepie's name. Hence, Username "Violet." Very Happy
I was not too creative and just used my company name. Sheepdog Marine.

My customers like the name and love the dogs when I have them around. They are in my company logo also.

I work on boats for a living. That is one reason I don't post a lot, I am always too busy. Since it is so windy today, I made a little extra time.

This was a good idea. I always wondered about some names.

Eric
She hasn't been around in a while, but I always read shug (Kaye) just as it sounds--like the first syllable of sugar. I finally realized that it stood for "s.heepie hugs!"

No farmer here. I'd change it to my first name, but nobody understands or spells it correctly. Wink
It's pretty funny when you realize you build assumptions based on user names...I always thought SheepDog Marine was due to you being in the Marines. Seems pretty hilarious as I always visualized the dogs standing for inspection and being well behaved at your house. LOL!

Sheep over acres...that's what I misread too!

Always loved the name Shug as she suited her. Kaye you are missed!

Marianne
FredCanYouSeeMe?-Why?- due to an incident at the dog run where a woman approached me and suggested that Fred was timid because he couldn't see the other dogs. (Right, he is terrified because he can't actually see the massive Saint Bernard)She then proceeded to tell to me that I needed to clip the hair on his face. I could not even justify this with a response. Since I am ill informed about English Setters I could not dole out wisdom to her regarding her dog.Lol....My husband and I frequently say to Fred, "Fred, how many fingers am I holding up? Fred can you see me?"

Occasionally, I'll even bust into that Who song from Tommy, "See me, Feel me, Touch Me, Heal Me."

Fred is Fred and I am Dawn
Mine is obvious too...Barney is the one and only Barns in my life! Although Maggie back home is still my favorite sheepie...shhhh
mines basic, the 3 intials of my last name although the W should now be a M, and my birthday is on the 8th-08. But of my email account i needed another number so i just added another 8. This is my username for everything!!! Just b/c i forget things so quickly.

My password is ******** Wink Laughing
At least that is what it looks like when I input it.
Well, Yah mine is pretty self explainatory, but I don't really like it anymore because:
a)Gooch is soooooo not a Sir, he's more of a jester.
b)Murphy is offended.
c)There is no mention of sparkles or glitter in my name.

So maybe "Princess Sparkle Goorphy Mom" what do you think?

' Joahaeyo' . Laughing LOL..............(Sorry Jo. Embarassed )

I have used Bandaa for about 11 years now. 'B' is for my husbands name 'Bob'- 'And' is self explanatory - 'A' is for my first name Antoinette, then 'A' is the first letter of our last name. B-AND-A-A .

When we lived in Fl. My licence plate on my car was BANDAA.

Antoinette
that's okay! I'm terrible with other languages.

3Shaggies, I LOVE that pic of your dogs. So cute!
I was so excited to join the forum I didnt really think about it!

I do breakdancing so I'm a 'B-Girl' which just means 'Break-Girl', someone who can't help dancing to the 'breaks' in music (the part of the song when the music kicks in) and my dance name is Nemesis.

My real name is Cassandra, friends call me Cassie or Nem Rolling Eyes

When I get a sheepie will prob start with a new name.

What can I say? I looove Christian Dior! But you know what? thats not why I have this name. My younger sister had a bottle of Christian Dior perfume on the computer desk one day and I was creating my ebay user ID. So I saw that bottle then presto-Missdior. And I chose that name here so I'd remember it since I had used it on Ebay before!

My heart belongs to Louis I must say. then Marc Jacobs. Then Dolce and Gabbanna....and so on with my designer love life...which my bf does not like!! Embarassed Very Happy Cool

Oh and you know what? a lot of ppl I know from college named there pooch after high fashion designers. Well, girls I knew. And did I mention I was a fashion major lol? I wonder if they (designers) know how popular that is? What would a fashion designer have to say bout that! The looks on their face! No longer Fido-now Versace lol!!!

Laughing Actually-their kisses are more like french kisses, so that is really cute that you changed it to "english" kisses! ...too funny!
I can't believe I missed this thread! Hope I am not to late. I have enjoyed reading and laughing. I too have had a few misconceptions about the humans behind the usernames...but then it could be the sheepies writing!

My username is an old holdover from childhood. Guess I need to "bold" the old. Razz My dad, for no apparent reason - I promise, called me "Mophead." Could be as a kid I had curly hair. Of course it was not because I looked like the old string mop (lest anyone should think that). Wink Years ago when I first needed a username and after stong warnings not to use your real name, mophead was really the only thing I could think of.

Then 3 years ago we fell in love with sheepies after driving a resue to her new home in Montana (long way from Arkansas). We came home from that trip and started searching. In the process I found this forum and it seemed natural to use my old usuername. Honest at that time, I didn't connect it with sheepies, but very glad it worked out that way. I don't think of Sadie as a mophead and I no longer have curly hair, but this household is forever grateful to all of you who make up this forum! I check it as often as I can.

Love to all of you and your sheepies,
Sadie and Rose Marie

mine came from a stuffed Old English Dog I had (and still have) in my 10 grade year of high school. When I got the dog then I knew at that moment I wanted an oes and so as it was the oesdoll that started my desire for the dog, I waited until I finished high school, college, and then got my own palce before finally getting the one thing I wanted all the years, an oes dog to match my doll
Bellasdad, Because Bella our dog when I joined the forum. Syd had to be put down in December and we got Bella in January. While my wife had had sheepdogs growing up and had Sydney when we met, I had never had a sheepdog puppy. I may have bought her but she owns me and I think that I am the lucky one.
I thought I was being clever with Sheepie in VT.

A girlfriend of mine who used to groom with me called me that one day and I thought it was catchy. She eventually wound up joining the army and is now a MP serving in Iraq.

So no, it has nothng to do with the dog in my picture, that is Tinsel. The love of my life, my first OES. hearts

Just thought I'd let you know that I knew a groomer when I lived in Chatt Tn whose name was aslo Martini , but she pronounced it Martine. We called her Marti. Smile

LAUGHING MY BUTT OFF!!! Fred how many fingers am I holding up?!! I am going to say that to Harry next time I see him!!
Mine is Mipanda.....

Got my oes and thought we would name him Panda at first (cuz he loox like one~) But both my fiance and I dun want Panda to get confused with Pepper (our Yorkie). After thinking and all, we decide to add a "Mi" in front because of the recent movie that we watched and the title song is called "Mi-Panda"... so... this is it~~
I have no imagination. Mine is my name...and the year I was born. Now everyone knows how old I am and I am ok with it!!!
Mony and Laci's Mommy for the obvious reason....
This user name isn't even mine - I just borrow it from Mad who caught site of a picture of a certain MN son of hers in showcoat standing in a pond and felt compelled to sign up and comment. It is possible alchohol was involved - not saying she's a lush or anything, but she does have a fondness for champagne.

She doesn't write very often so it's just easier for me to use her username rather than sign up separately. Mad and I are in strict agreement that her daughter Sybil must not be permitted to register on her own for fear she will start sending Nelson Jr and Harrington suggestive PMs, plotting havoc at Sheepiepalooza and future nationals and who knows what else she could come up with if left unsupervised.

This is my champion bitches name so I choose that, not really original but I like it.

Its the weekend time to have fun .

Razz
my KTB because I found the forum when our old last dog was dying and her name was Katy and B is my husbands initial.
Mine is the genus of one of my favorite flowers.
hmmm... mine isn't as "personal" as many others.

"Darth" because I'm a Star Wars fan, and a sometimes employee of Lucasfilm.

But Sheepies aren't very evil, so I wanted to off-set the "Darth and went with "Snuggle". Its an aspect of my dogs that I like so much: the Snuggle!

Of course, once my dogs graduate from Sith apprentices to actual, evil overlord dogs, I'm sure I'll look back and go "Oooooooooooh, what a mistake it was to use that name." I'm certain they are practicing the Jedi mind trick to get treats when no one is looking.

Chewie appreciates your name!! Very Happy
My family (but not I) are Star Wars fans, and Chewie fit the description of "hairy loyal warrior" well.
Of course, having a dad with "Skywalker" as part of his registered name, and a call name of "Luke" doesn't hurt either! Laughing Wink
I had no choice in the matter, my username was thrust upon me by a couple of people who felt the need to label everything.
Ahhh Lucali.... that's simple Luca and Ali put together.. sounds like luckily.

They are the two dogs that got me into all of this wonderful and crazy dog stuff from conformation to agility.

Like I told Will once .... lucali I have Luca and Ali....yep I know I'm a big cheese ball! I live in WI!
"chowderdawg" because when I signed up the most significant doggie aspect in our lives was a longtime companion Chow mix named "Chowder". Plus it is a name that would work interchangeably for me or my wife if she ever wants to use it (but doesn't have much time for or interest in forums).
