| I was just wondering if anybody knows why or what this means. My puppy is 8 months old and she hugs her baby blanket with here front paws and sucks on her blanket before she takes her nap. It's so cute. I think it's a security thing,however I'm not sure. |

| My almost 5 yr old Bella does that with the stuffies...so does her dad who is 11. |

Heart is a product of her relatives....  ....She has 4 sheepdog stuffies and EVERY one of their noses look just like this~~~~~~
so she is in very GOOD company!!!!
I think it's very cute too!!!! As soon as she grabs her 'baby' and lays on her tuffet...the nose goes into her mouth and she begins to paddle and suck...her eyes glaze over...and she is in her SPECIAL place!!!!

My Wilby did that!
I still find myself squeezing teddy noses
in stores to see if they are "suck worthy"!

I find myself doing the same thing (trying to find replacements))....I fear one day all her stuffies will be 'sucked' out and what, in heavens name, will WE do??????  |

I've only ever seen cats do that!! Sometimes my siamese does it on my jumper when I'm wearing it Its really cute I'd love to see a sheepie do it too. The cat totally blisses out, looks like a nice place to go.  |
panda sucks her white ''baby''...uses both paws to hold and then will fall asleep with it in her mouth....
interestingly, she wont suck the red or blue ones....only white...the others are strickly for hardcore squeeky play |
Eggbert kinda does this, but he's a little bit weird...he doesnt do is with toys, or anything else that belongs to him...only my, or Scott's bed pillows Bleah...soggy pillows  He also licks and "nibbles" them...I sometimes wake up to find him doing this right next to my head  |
Hattie sucks her toys too.... she cuddles them and then sucks them to death... lol lol  |
| And here I've heard dogs can't suck after they are a few weeks old. Maybe they can't suckle, but sounds like they still have that oral fixation. |
