Registered OESs?

Does anyone know how I would find out how many OESs are registered in 2009? I am guessing that OESCA and the AKC would be the place to look, but so far I haven't been able to find any information on their sites.

I believe - and its just a guess, that you can only find out how many are registered each year. SInce there is no porcess for notifying AKC when a registered dog dies there would be no data base of how many are currently alive and registered.
