When I try to upload pictures it tells me it is too big. How can I make the picture smaller ... less bytes? (computers and I are not the best friends)

In your profile, or in the photo gallery?

I assume you're talking about your profile because the gallery allows for huge files. The gallery produces smaller versions of full-sized files that are perfect for use in your profile! Check the FAQs section for details on "creating a thumbnail and using it as your avatar. "
